Spring Ice Age Wildflower Hike
The Northwoods Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance will hold its annual Guided Spring Wildflower Hike Saturday, May 25 through the hills and rolling hardwoods of the Harrison Hills in Lincoln County. Learn the names of wildflowers along the way. The event starts at 10 a.m. Meet at the Ice Age Trail head on Turtle Lake Road. Terrain is hilly and moderately difficult. Directions off Hwy. 51 at County Road J in Irma are to go east on J for 5 miles to Turtle Lake Road, then 3 miles north to the Ice Age Trail trailhead. From the east, take Hwy. 17 to County Road J at Bloomville, go west to Turtle Lake Road and turn right. Follow the Ice Age Trail event signs.
